A beat-em-up built around controlling multiple characters, tagging them in and out to extend combos and avoid damage. Set up combos with yourself, storing actions and switching out to follow up for massive damage!

Breakdown
Made for the main Level UpState project, which involved working as a professional indie studio, with standard length work days.
The end goal was to have 4 playable characters, so this was more of a test run of how the systems work.
Overall, this was a pretty challenging project to manage. The team was largely unfamiliar with the 2D Beat Em Up style of game, and it lead to some problems popping up across all disciplines. We took some time out to research similar styles of game, and were able to push through. The game's lacking in finished art assets, but there's an extensive amount of mechanical work done.
Not every project is a success, and some are full of scrapped ideas, but nothing's a mistake as long as you learn from it.
